  10. Now pressure cook rice and dal by adding salt, turmeric powder and water. Cook for 3 whistles or 10 min..
  11. Let it cool down. Now take a tadka pan. Add ghee. Heat. Add jeera and let it crackle..
  12. Now add hing, garlic and bay leaves. Cook till garlic turns golden..
  13. Now add cloves and red chilli powder. Switch off gas. Pour this tadka on khichdi..
